One giant M&M Candy Cookie Pie perfect for your next birthday or celebration. This big buttery cookie is filled with chocolate chips and loads of M&M candy.
My latest obsession: Cookie Pies! šŖ
I love cookies in ALL shapes and sizes, but this M&M Candy Cookie Pie is my new favourite way to cure my cookie cravings. Buttery cookie dough? Check. Dozens of M&Mās? Check. Handfuls of chocolate chips? Check. This just might be the biggest and best cookie ever!
If you like a cookie with a gooey centre but crunchy edges, then this is the cookie pie for you. The centre is soft and chewy and just about melts in your mouth, but the crust is golden and crispy. Bliss!
This cookie pie is so easy to make and really quick too, since there’s no chilling the dough or rolling out the cookie dough into balls. Plus you donāt have to worry about the cookies spreading too thin – you are just guaranteed a beautiful huge cookie.
It is ideal for sharing with friends or for a fun birthday celebration. The generous amount of M&M candy gives it that extra pop of colour, so kids (and the young at heart) will LOVE it. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on top sure wouldn’t hurt #justsaying.
My only advice is to be careful not to over bake your cookie cake, as it tastes best when it’s under baked and a little gooey in the middle. Fresh from the oven with a cold glass of milk? Yes please!
I hope you had a great weekend! Can’t believe it’s Monday again! We tried a new Lebanese restaurant on the weekend and I have to say, I’m a little obsessed with falafel. Have you ever tried it? I don’t know why but it’s SO GOOD. I must learn how to make it at home.

Let’s Bake
M&M Candy Cookie Pie
Giant buttery cookie pie with crisp golden edges and a soft centre loaded with chocolate chips and M&M candy.
Ingredients
- 115 grams (1/2 cup or 1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 135 grams (3/4 cup) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 210 grams (1 and 1/2 cups) plain flour or all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 100 grams (1/2 cup) plain M&M’s, plus extra for decorating
- 75 grams (1/2 cup) chocolate chips, plus extra for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 C (350 F) standard / 160 C (320 F) fan-forced. Grease and line a 9-inch springform cake tin.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Add vanilla extract and egg and continue to beat until soft and creamy. Sift in the flour and baking soda. Gently mix until cookie dough comes together.
- Throw in the M&M’s and chocolate chips and fold through. Place all the dough into your prepared tin and spread out as even as possible. Press extra M&M’s and chocolate chips on top.
- Place in the oven for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown on the edges. Try not to overcook as you want it soft and gooey in the middle. Leave to cool before slicing and serving.

Made this recipe (heart shaped and doubled the recipe) and it turned out amazing.
We enjoyed it with some plain vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. It really tasted great! My kids and husband loved it and Iām definitely will be making it again. Thanks you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Greetings from the Netherlands š
Jessica Holmes says
I love hearing that Priscilla! Serving it with ice cream and sprinkles sounds divine.
Sarah says
Made it, it was delicious! Usually I make desserts for others and donāt really eat my own but this was so good I couldnāt resist! My brother and I were literally arguing over the last piece, so good!!!
Jessica Holmes says
Aw I love hearing that Sarah!
Mattie says
Could you make this recipe as individual pies in a muffin tin do you think?
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Mattie, yes I think that could work!
Rosie Taylor says
I baked it and it looked lovely however when I cut it open it looked raw in the middle so I put it in for an extra 5 mins and that did nothing.. what do you suggest I do please? The outside is lovely tho, nice and crisp.
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Rosie, it may just need a few more minutes in the oven but the inside is meant to lovely and soft. It will also firm up as it cools.
Rush says
I like this recipe
I would add an extra egg to make it less crumbly.
Jessica Holmes says
Thanks for the feedback Rush. If it’s crumbly, make sure you don’t over measure the flour or over bake your cookie.
Nicola Brittain says
Could this be altered to a 12inch size? Iām ok rounding ingredients up, but how long would you bake for? Thank you!
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Nicola, it just depends on the thickness. It may cook in a similar time – just keep an eye on it!
Kate says
This looks amazing! I only have a 10 inch springform pan though. Should I adjust the ingredients or just decrease the baking time?
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Kate, the cookie will be thinner if you use a 10 inch pan, so definitely adjust the baking time. Maybe just keep an eye on when it goes golden brown?
Kate says
Will do – thank you!
Jessica says
I made this today and after tasting it realized there is no salt. Did you purposefully put the salt or maybe a typo?
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Jessica, the recipe does not include salt but you’re welcome to add some. Hope you enjoyed it.
Lauren Board says

Hi Lauren! Aw what kind words! Thank you so much! āŗļø
Amita says
Made this for a potluck and it was a hit!! My dough was a little crumbly so the end result was a bit bumpy looking – not sure what could have fixed that – but it still looked and tasted great! And it was super easy and quick to make. Thanks for the recipe!!
Jessica Holmes says
Hi Anita! Thanks so much for your lovely feedback! I’m so pleased you liked the cookie. Not sure why your dough was a little crumbly – maybe your butter was a bit firm? But glad it was a hit! X
Josh says
So delicious!
Hailey says
how many calories?
Jessica Holmes says
I don’t know, sorry Hailey.
cakespy says
Well hiiiiiiiiiiiii, I definitely need this. I Love cookie cakes because they have the perfect ratio of crispy edge (just a touch) to soft and chewy interior (LOTS). This looks extra special because, well, RAINBOW!
Jessica Holmes says
Aww thanks Jessie! Anything rainbow is the best! š
