Hi there, I’m Jess.
An Aussie girl living in sunny Sydney with my husband, Josh and daughter, Lucy. I didn’t grow up baking in the kitchen but my love for food has been real for as long as I can remember.
I started Sweetest Menu on a whim in 2014, but now I couldn’t imagine my life without it ❤️ This is where you will find all my favourite recipes. They have been developed, tested and eaten in my very own kitchen.
My bakes are heavily inspired by my travels. In 2011, my husband and I took our first trip to America and our lives were changed. We tried all kinds of things we had never had before, from banana pudding at Magnolia Bakery to red velvet cake, smores milkshakes and New York cheesecake.
There were so many flavours and combinations I had never seen or tasted. I became obsessed with American-style baking.
Since then, we’ve been blessed to eat our way through many places all over the world, from Los Angeles to London, Florence to Tokyo, Paris to Vancouver.
My travels, combined with my sweet tooth, are what drives my constant need to create in the kitchen. But make no mistake, Sweetest Menu is much more about you than it is me.
The fact that people from all over the world are making my recipes and sharing them with their family and friends is what gets me up in the morning. Over the years, I’ve learnt just how important dessert is, and how impactful a good recipe can be on someone’s life.
My hope is that here you find delicious dessert recipes that work, are easy to follow and produce amazing results for minimum fuss. The best place to start? My favourite Apple Cake.
