I’m officially writing a Sweetest Menu cookbook! After 11 years of writing and publishing recipes, I’m going to print. And I need your help to know what recipes need to be included!

It’s true, It’s true! I’m writing a cookbook.
After developing, writing and publishing recipes right here on Sweetest Menu for 11 years (eleven! Can you believe it?) my dream of releasing a cookbook is finally coming true.
It’s going to be a collection of amazing home bakes that anyone can make. And just like all my recipes here on Sweetest Menu, it’s going to focus on simplicity, deliciousness and all things sweet.
Thank you
If there is one thing I believe now more than ever, it’s that baking is good for the soul. It brings joy to my life every single day, and I know, without a doubt, that thousands of people all over the world feel the same way.
Not a day goes by that I don’t get a comment from someone telling me how much they love my Apple Cinnamon Cake or how they’ve finally conquered making thick cookies from scratch, thanks to my NYC Cookie recipe.
You’ve made my recipes for birthdays, celebrations, graduations and baby showers.
You’ve gifted them to new parents, brightened the day of your co-workers and shared them with neighbours, family and friends.
And now I get to package all of YOUR favourite recipes up and put them in a fabulous, real-deal, tangible book.
The book
The book is also going to be jam-packed with plenty of NEW recipes that won’t be published here or anywhere else – and trust me, you’ll want some of these in your life.
I’ve had to keep this cookbook a secret for the best part of this year, but I’ve been bursting to tell you! Hopefully it explains why there haven’t been many new recipes published on the blog this year.
I’ve been working non-stop in the kitchen for the past three months to develop new recipes for the book and it’s been the most hectic, wonderful, stressful and exciting period of my life.
Come along and see all the madness day-to-day by joining me on Instagram or YouTube.
I need your help
I plan on sharing more behind-the-scenes content about what goes into making and publishing a cookbook. BUT now I have a favour to ask of you!
I’m finalising the table of contents and chapters for the book but I want to make sure YOUR favourite Sweetest Menu recipes are included.
Can you comment below or send me an email at jessica@sweetestmenu.com with the recipe/s YOU want included in this book!
I want to make sure I’m including all your favourites, so now’s the time to send in your requests.
Happy baking,
Jess XX
P.S. I would like to note that this ‘dream come true’ moment has been years in the making. I started to hope I could one day publish a book of my own around eight years ago.
Since then, I’ve had two almost opportunities, and at least six formal rejections from different publishers.
But despite the set-backs, I held onto the hope that one day this dream would come true.
I’ll share more details on how this opportunity came to be in time, but for now, please know that sometimes there are a lot of ‘no’s’ before a ‘yes’, so don’t stop believing in yourself and your dreams.

This is amazing news. Congratulations!I was hoping you would release a cookbook. Honestly, this website is my absolute go-to. I’ve recommended it to loads of my friends, and I even bake with my son using your website. I’ve learnt so many tips and tricks through your blog, and you have certainly improved my skills as a baker.
I would love to see all your recipes in the book, but the one I would have to choose is the carrot cake. I make it every year on my husband’s birthday, it’s his favourite cake…honestly, he gets carrot cakes at other cafes when we go and he says it’s got nothing on the one I make for his birthday. But honestly, I love all your recipes!
Can’t wait to add your cookbook to my bookshelf!

Oh thats so cool to hear Emma! I’m honoured that you love my recipes. The carrot cake has definitely got to make it in. I’ve had lots of requests for that one!

Congratulations! This is the best news. We make your Thick and Fluffy American Pancakes every week, if we have buttermilk it’s the Buttermilk Pancakes. The Best Ever Christmas Cookies also get requested every year (I have to hide the Christmas MMs so my husband doesn’t devour them before I bake, it was a point of contention when they went out of stock and couldn’t replace them). But honestly love all your recipes so can’t wait to see what’s included.

Wow that’s so lovely to hear Bethany! Thank you so much for that lovely feedback. Definitely will squeeze a pancake recipe in there for sure!!
