Can I freeze this slice?
Hi Ess, to be honest, I’ve never frozen it – it always goes too fast! But I think it might go a little soggy in the freezer.
Hi again Jess, I’ve made this slice a couple of times now, and each time I get slightly different degrees of crispy-ness with the rice bubbles…. I’m not sure what I’ve done differently though… As you are queen of awesome recipes, do you have any tips for keeping rice bubbles crispy?
Hi Ingrid! Great question! I’ve had that happen before when my Rice Bubbles aren’t fresh. If they’ve been sitting in the cupboard for a bit (even if they taste ok) I find they don’t have the same resilience to moisture. Try using a new box of Rice Bubbles next time and see if that helps. Also when adding the liquid ingredients, stir quickly and press into your tin straight away. If you let it sit for a few minutes you run the risk of the cereal going a little soggy. Alternatively, you can leave them out and use 50 grams extra crushed cookies. Hope that helps – and thank you for trying one of my recipes! ☺️
This recipe is fantastic – super delicious and it’s incredibly easy – even I got this slice right the first time…! Thank you Jessica – you’re amazing, I’m working my way through all of your recipes!!

Thanks for sharing your recipes, appreciate that you also give measurements as I am hopeless using cups even though I ordered ones that are American measurements.
Thanks Wendy! I much prefer weighing all my ingredients too – much safer that way! 😊
