It’s banana-rama time!
This big, beautiful, Banana Bundt Cake can be described best as hearty. Made with ripe bananas and sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, it’s flavourful and filling. Add a drizzle of creamy Nutella ganache and you have one stunning cake.
If you’re looking for a sweet way to use those bananas sitting in your fruit bowl, look no further. Not only is this cake a cinch to throw together (you don’t even need a mixer), it also freezes really well.
I do love banana cake. And banana bread. And banana muffins. But banana bundt cakes are just that little bit fancy, am I right? And who knew that a piece of lightly spiced banana cake would pair so beautifully with Nutella? You can trust me on this one. Bananas cake + Nutella = heaven!
Even non-banana fans will at least want to lick that Nutella ganache right off their cake. I almost face planted into the bowl of Nutella ganache, it’s THAT good. #obsessed
You know I love to get out my bundt pan from time to time. Remember from Chocolate Sour Cream Bundt Cake? And my Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Cake? Bundt cakes are so pretty, it’s virtually impossible to say no to a slice – that’s not just me right?
As I mentioned, this recipe disposes with the usual method of creaming the butter and sugar. While this means the cake is denser, I find it adds a hearty quality while still maintaining its softness and moisture. You’ll know what I mean when you try it. It also means it’s easy! No mixer required. Just a few mixing bowls and a spoon. Just don’t over mix the batter.
I’m sharing this delicious recipe over on Handle the Heat today. Tessa has kindly let me share my latest obsession, so pop on over to check out the full recipe.
